Non Surgical Treatments

On 7th March 2024, the TGA released new regulations on the cosmetic injectable industry.

These new guidelines prohibit us from using terms such as “anti-wrinkle injections” or “dermal fillers”.

This is because these medications are prescription only & it is a breach to advertise prescription medicines.

With this, it means we can no longer share our before & after results for you to observe our aesthetic style, or pricing for any of our treatments we offer.

We understand it is frustrating as a patient when you are not able to see results, price lists, or really obtain any type of information now over social media or websites when seeking out these treatments.

Please understand we are not trying to be secretive or misleading in any way.

We can however disclose all of the information you would like in a face to face consultation, including pricing tailored to your concerns.

FAQ's

FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

Dermal fillers FAQs

The injections themselves feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation as the product is being injected. Depending on your personal pain tolerance and on the area, your practitioner may apply or inject a local anaesthetic to the to-be-treated area.

Dermal fillers can be used to smooth away facial lines, jawline and wrinkles, create fuller lips and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, and revitalise the skin. The most common areas treated are nose to mouth lines (the nasolabial folds), lips (adding volume and shape), cheeks.

Duration depends on many factors, such as the individual’s skin type, skin condition, lifestyle and age – as well as the type and amount of product used. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 12 months depending on the individual and the product used. A treatment of the lips can last up to 12 months.

Our most used dermal filler is the most scientifically documented dermal filler in the world, with comprehensive studies that support its efficacy. It has been used in over 10 million treatments worldwide during the last twelve years. Because the dermal filler resembles the substances that occur naturally in the body, the risk of allergic reaction is minimal. However, there are risks involved with any cosmetic injectable treatment and these will be explained fully during your consultation.
Due to TGA guidelines, we are unable to advertise the brand names of prescription medicines such as dermal filler. We do however stock the leading brands of all fillers and when you have your consultation we can freely talk about the options available.

It is not recommended to receive injectable treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding, as the risks are uncertain. At Glam up Clinique we are unable to treat you with cosmetic injectables if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, due to the lack of information available about the effect on the fetus. For more information please call us on 0430209586 / 0425533641 and request to speak with one of our medically-trained registered doctor or nurse injectors.

Anti-wrinkle Injections FAQs

It is not recommended to receive injectable treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding, as the risks are uncertain. At Glam up Clinique we are unable to treat you with cosmetic injectables if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, due to the lack of information available about the effect on the fetus.

The effect can last up to four months, although with regular treatments it may be possible to reduce the dosage.

The most common treatment areas for wrinkle reduction are crow’s feet (lines around the outer eyes), glabella (between the eyes) and the forehead. Other areas including ‘bunny lines’ (lines on the nose), jaw-line, chin and neck may also be treated and at Glam up Clinique, we have experienced practitioners who treat even the most complex areas. Muscle relaxants can even be used to treat excessive sweating and jaw grinding.

It generally takes three to 10 days after the treatment for the maximum to develop fully and re-treatment should not occur within that period.
We do not treat anyone under the age of 18 for cosmetic injectables. We do offer a wide-range of skin treatments suitable for your age group and we welcome you to visit our clinic with a parent or guardian to discuss any of these options.
Due to strict regulations set by the Therapeutic Goods Act (TGA) it is against the law to discount an injectable treatment. Discounted treatments should raise alarm bells when you are choosing which clinic to trust your treatment to. The skill of the injector is more important than price. An efficient injector will achieve maximum result with minimum product.
